Job Description
Quidax is seeking a dedicated Legal Associate to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our legal operations.
In this capacity, you will be the primary point of contact for managing all inbound legal and data requests from law enforcement agencies. This includes the meticulous review and execution of subpoenas, warrants, and preservation requests, ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards while safeguarding the company's policies.
You will also be instrumental in supporting the foundational administrative functions of the legal department. This encompasses managing license applications, maintaining comprehensive and organized document repositories, tracking compliance logs, and overseeing contract workflows to ensure seamless operations.
Furthermore, the role involves general legal execution and advisory, where you will draft and review standard agreements and assist with day-to-day legal tasks to facilitate the broader business objectives.
A key aspect of this position is process optimization, where you will continuously develop and refine standard operating procedures for handling both critical law enforcement engagements and routine administrative tasks, enabling the legal function to scale effectively with the company's growth.

Qualifications
- Law degree and relevant bar admission.
- Working knowledge of Nigerian law.
- Tactical communication skills for effective interaction with law enforcement agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of making fast, accurate decisions under pressure.
- Obsession with details and meticulous execution.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or fintech environment (nice-to-have).
- Previous direct exposure to dealing with law enforcement or regulatory agencies (nice-to-have).
