Job Description
Olajide Oyewole LLP is seeking a diligent Litigation Officer to manage critical aspects of the firm's legal proceedings in Abuja.
This role is essential for ensuring the accurate filing of court processes, effective liaison with judicial officials, and meticulous monitoring of case progress.
You will be responsible for maintaining litigation records, serving legal documents, and supporting the firm's overall litigation strategy.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- File court processes and legal documents accurately and on time
- Track case progress, adjournments, and next steps
- Liaise with court officials, clients, and third parties
- Maintain case records, filing systems, and meet deadlines
- Serve letters, notices, and retrieve certified copies of judgments/orders
- Build and maintain relationships with judicial officers and court staff
- Monitor court proceedings and provide timely updates
- Ensure compliance with filing requirements and statutory deadlines
- Coordinate court appearances, pre-trial meetings, and case reviews
- Manage legal documentation, correspondence, and administrative support
- Assist in obtaining certified records, judgments, and rulings
- Provide regular status updates to the DRG and Partner
- Dispatch and scan certificates, receipts, letters, and official documents
Qualifications
- HND or B.Sc./BA (minimum); certification in Litigation Support, Paralegal Studies, or related field is an advantage
- 3–5 years' proven relevant experience, prior law firm experience preferred
- Knowledge of Nigerian judicial procedures, litigation processes, and court operations
- Familiarity with court locations, filing procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent administrative, communication, and reporting skills
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research tools
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and occasionally long hours/weekends
