Job Description

Hyprops Nigeria Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead for Operations & Maintenance to join our esteemed team in Lagos.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the overall safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant equipment, systems, and processes. Your expertise will be vital in developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies, effectively troubleshooting operational issues, and leading a team of dedicated technicians and engineers.

Key responsibilities include planning and executing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance equipment reliability, and optimize overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment, systems, and processes within the plant.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and lead a team of technicians and engineers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Minimize plant downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance equipment reliability and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Assist with the implementation of B2B market development and client/customer engagement strategies.
  • Identify, build, and nurture strategic relationships with existing and prospective B2B and corporate clients.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform market response and client engagement strategies.
  • Monitor plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
  • Inspect key systems regularly to assess performance and detect potential failures.
  • Compile and present periodic performance reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in operations and maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
  • Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or Professional Engineering (PE) certification is required.
  • Certification in maintenance management, reliability engineering, or safety standards is required.
