Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in acquiring essential materials for the AKK project. This position is key to supporting the Project Supply Chain Manager in upholding procurement policies and achieving company objectives.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect and minor materials. This includes processing purchase requisitions, analyzing quotes using GEP, negotiating terms, and creating purchase orders in SAP. You will also develop and manage frame agreements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure all commercial activities align with company strategies.

Your responsibilities will extend to providing procurement support for bids and tenders, monitoring market prices, and researching prospective suppliers. You will liaise with expeditors, track deliveries, monitor supplier performance, and ensure due diligence is conducted for all vendors. Collaboration with Quality Assurance for inspections and maintaining detailed reports on procurement activities will also be part of your duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procure Project in-direct and Minor procurement requested materials for the AKK project.
  • Support the Project Supply Chain Manager in effective management of Procurement policies and procedures.
  • Process PRs, verify prices, ensure specifications, call for and analyze quotes, obtain approvals, and order in SAP.
  • Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.
  • Create Purchase orders on project Local and foreign procurement, as well as for corporate procurements.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements through SAP.
  • Develop and manage frame agreements with suppliers.
  • Demonstrate significant cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensure all established procurements packages requiring Supply Chain Governance Board (SCGB) approval are reviewed and submitted.
  • Provide procurement support for Oilserv Bids/ Tenders and participate in reviews/evaluations.
  • Constantly monitor market price of materials.
  • Ensure all commercial activity is aligned with Oilserv commercial strategies.
  • Utilize price database and benchmark quotations for cost savings and standardization.
  • Research and identify prospective suppliers for assigned categories.
  • Analyze industry and demand trends.
  • Liaise with Expeditors and maintain execution tracking sheets.
  • Follow up on suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
  • Ensure supplier scorecards and assessment reports are prepared and updated.
  • Ensure a Due Diligence report is conducted for all vendors before placing a PO.
  • Work with Quality Assurance for inspection upon delivery.
  • Prepare and maintain proper reports on local and foreign procurement activities.
  • Develop an expedited sheet for project and corporate procurements.
  • Collate and file generated procurement documents systematically.
  • Liaise with clearing and expediting officer for tracking foreign procured items and ensuring smooth clearing.
  • Follow up with clearing and expediting officer to ensure PAAR is secured before consignments arrive.
  • Follow up with clearing and expediting officer to ensure Form M is processed timely.
  • Liaise with Finance Manager, Supply Chain Managers, and Banks for establishing letters of credit.
  • Perform any other duty assigned by the Project Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Management or Social Sciences)
  • CIPS Membership
  • Minimum of 5 years’ Experience in procurement function
  • CIPS – Completed levels 4-5
