About the Company

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a distinguished Swiss-based foundation, established at the United Nations in 2002. Our core mission is to alleviate human suffering caused by malnutrition by transforming food systems to deliver healthier diets for all, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable populations.

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, GAIN operates through a global network of offices in countries significantly affected by malnutrition, including Bangladesh, Benin, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. We also maintain representative offices in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the United States to support our extensive country-level work.

At GAIN, we firmly believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious, safe, and affordable food. We are dedicated to developing and implementing innovative solutions to address the daily challenge faced by one in three people globally who lack sufficient nutritious food. Our working culture promotes flexibility through a hybrid model, fostering a healthy work-life balance, enhancing employee wellbeing, and boosting overall performance and productivity. We are deeply committed to equality of opportunity, diversity, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment, underpinned by robust safeguarding principles and a zero-tolerance approach to inappropriate behavior.

Job Description

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is actively seeking three dedicated Project Coordinators to join a transformative initiative. This program is designed to foster dignified and fulfilling work opportunities for Nigerian youth under 35, specifically within the agrifood value chains. A key focus of this initiative is to significantly benefit young women, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced persons.

In this crucial role, you will provide essential field coordination and performance management, overseeing program implementation across multiple states within your designated zone. You will collaborate closely with various partners and agencies, ensuring the harmonization of activities, meticulous tracking of delivery progress, and strict adherence to both donor and GAIN policies.

This position is offered as a two-year fixed-term contract, contingent upon securing the award and the availability of funding. Each Project Coordinator will be strategically based in one of three Nigerian states: Lagos, Kano, or Nasarawa. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a high-impact program, driving sustainable change and empowering vulnerable populations.
