Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Nurse to join our esteemed medical team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional nursing care, ensuring patient safety and well-being through established protocols and compassionate practice.

You will operate within a framework that aligns with the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) Nursing/Midwifery Competency Framework and Scope of Practice. Your responsibilities will also encompass adherence to Joint Commission International standards and our comprehensive Plan of Care Policy, upholding the highest regulatory requirements in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify patient care outcomes and ensure timely care delivery.
  • Maintain high-quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care goals.
  • Provide basic assessment skills to identify normal versus abnormal patient characteristics.
  • Deliver safe and appropriate patient care to specific patient populations using the nursing process.
  • Administer medications and therapeutic agents as part of treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plans.
  • Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access.
  • Observe and document signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, and general physical condition.
  • Plan patient care based on validated assessments, implementing appropriate reporting and referrals.
  • Initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Provide care to diverse patient populations, considering cultural backgrounds and individual needs.
  • Assess patient readiness for learning, ability to follow directions, and consent.
  • Make adjustments to patient care based on specific population needs (cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, etc.).
  • Identify and address patient safety concerns, intervening to provide a safe environment.
  • Accurately document direct and indirect patient care services in the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships within healthcare teams through effective communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the GCC region (preferred).
  • Proficiency in clinical and technical nursing skills consistent with QCHP Nursing/Midwifery Competency Framework.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission International standards and Plan of Care Policy.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP functional skills, is an advantage.
