Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to oversee all accounting and financial operations of Kingsgate Hotel Clocktower.

This pivotal role involves preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring strict compliance with IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and company financial policies.

You will manage key financial functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and the general ledger. Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring daily cash flow are also essential duties.

The Chief Accountant will lead month-end and year-end closing activities, prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis reports. Responsibilities extend to monitoring operating costs, recommending cost-control initiatives, and coordinating internal and external audits.

Maintaining accurate financial records, supporting statutory compliance, and ensuring proper inventory and asset accounting are crucial. You will also develop and strengthen internal controls and financial processes, while supervising, training, and mentoring the accounting team.

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, with professional certifications like ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA being an advantage. A minimum of 5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, is essential. Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE tax regulations, and hotel accounting practices is preferred, alongside experience with ERP/accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
