Job Description
Generation Capital Limited is seeking a skilled Lead Accountant to oversee financial operations in Port Harcourt.
This role involves managing financial statements, supervising general ledger activities, and leading loan accounting processes.
You will also be responsible for conducting financial audits and ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Supervise and review general ledger activities, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
- Lead loan accounting processes, including loan disbursements, repayments, interest recognition, and portfolio tracking.
- Conduct periodic financial audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports (e.g., VAT, SCUML, and other compliance requirements).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with loan accounting and portfolio management is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
