Job Description
Platinum Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant and Tax Professional to join our remote team. This role is ideal for an individual with leadership aspirations and a clear vision for potential future involvement in firm ownership.
In this pivotal position, you will utilize your extensive accounting and tax preparation expertise to deliver outstanding services to a diverse clientele. Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely tax filings, directly supporting the success and financial well-being of our clients.
As a Senior Accountant & Tax Preparer, your responsibilities will encompass supervising and mentoring Bookkeeping Specialists, preparing and reviewing various tax returns, identifying tax planning opportunities, and managing client relationships effectively within a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor Bookkeeping Specialists to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns accurately and on time.
- Identify tax planning opportunities, credits, and potential liabilities
- Maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Providing tax planning advice and identifying potential tax savings opportunities for clients.
- Collaborating with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer tax-related questions.
- Assisting with accounting tasks such as reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
- Staying current with tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices to provide up-to-date advice.
- Managing multiple client relationships and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Working independently and communicating effectively in a remote work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and tax preparation.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient with accounting software and (QuickBooks, UltraTax and Microsoft).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong communication skills.
- Friendly and client-focused attitude.
- EA certification is a plus.
