Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Commercial & Customer Care Lead to join our Concession Transition Program Management Office (TPMO). This role is crucial for developing and implementing robust airport commercial strategies, driving revenue optimization, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences throughout the concession transition process.

In this capacity, you will translate concession contract obligations into actionable operational plans, provide expert advice on commercial KPIs, and oversee lease roll-outs. Your responsibilities will extend to identifying new commercial opportunities, developing compelling business cases, and defining high-level customer care standards. You will also play a key role in managing commercial risks and monitoring performance through effective dashboards and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain airport commercial strategy, set revenue targets, and monitor metrics aligned with concession terms and PMO objectives.
  • Translate concession contract obligations into operational plans, support concessionaire with lease roll-out, and advise on commercial KPIs and revenue sharing.
  • Identify commercial opportunities, prepare solicitation briefs, and business cases reflecting local market dynamics and risk appetite.
  • Define customer-care standards, lead stakeholder engagement, and build capacity for concessionaire and TPMO teams.
  • Maintain commercial risk register, propose mitigation measures, and implement performance dashboards and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Aviation Management, or related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 12-15 years of progressive commercial, concessions, or airport retail experience; demonstrable experience supporting PPP/PPP-style concessions or large infrastructure commercial rollouts.
  • Experience working in Nigeria or comparable West African markets is strongly preferred.
  • Technical skills include financial modelling for concessions, contract interpretation, CRM and ticketing familiarity, MS Excel/Power BI or equivalent.
  • Professional certification in project management, procurement, or airport commercial management is an advantage.
  • Fluent English; knowledge of local languages and cultural context is an asset.
