We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior AML/KYC Onboarding Manager to join a dynamic, high-growth financial technology firm.
In this crucial role, you will spearhead the institutional customer due diligence and onboarding processes. Your primary objective will be to ensure the organization consistently upholds the highest standards of compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and all other relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the institutional customer onboarding function, including reviewing complex escalations and making informed decisions on accounts.
- Manage customer Requests for Information (RFIs) efficiently and effectively.
- Oversee and audit onboarding procedures to ensure strict adherence to internal policies and global regulatory standards (BMA, FinCEN, FATF, OFAC).
- Develop, enhance, and implement comprehensive risk-based onboarding policies and procedures that adapt to evolving financial landscapes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize onboarding timelines, enhance data quality, and elevate the overall customer experience.
- Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to onboarding activities, generating regular reports and strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to improve automation and system capabilities, supporting scalable and robust onboarding workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in AML/BSA/KYC compliance.
- Demonstrated track record of performing institutional customer onboarding within a regulated financial institution or a high-growth Fintech environment.
- Deep understanding of U.S. and global AML regulations, sanctions compliance, and both Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements.
- Professional certifications such as ACAMS, CFCS, or similar are strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with modern onboarding/KYC platforms and automation tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
