Key Responsibilities

  • Work on the electrical architecture for upcoming Lytup product lines, from concept and prototyping through pilot deployments and high-volume production in collaboration with our current team of engineers.
  • Evaluate, select, and optimize inverter technologies, including hybrid, off-grid, and string inverters, ensuring seamless integration with Lytvolt battery systems.
  • Design and review complex electrical schematics, with a focus on high-voltage DC bus architectures and parallel BESS configurations.
  • Support installation and commissioning of Lytup products across both small-scale and large-scale projects in West Africa when required.
  • Work with IoT and electrical engineers to define communication logic between inverters, battery management systems, and the Lytup cloud platform.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify Tier-1 component suppliers for capacitors, MOSFETs, breakers, and battery cells, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all new products meet strict safety, compliance, and performance benchmarks.
  • Lead intensive prototype and pilot-site testing to identify failure points before mass-market release.

Qualifications

  • Deep technical knowledge of power electronics, including DC–AC inversion, MPPT charge controllers, energy storage monitoring, embedded systems, and synchronization of parallel systems.
  • Proven hands-on experience installing both small-scale and large-scale solar and inverter-based energy systems.
  • Strong experience with LiFePO4 battery integration, including high-current DC and AC-coupled applications.
  • Proficiency with professional EDA tools such as Altium or EasyEDA for producing production-ready electrical schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU, CAN, CANopen, and similar standards used in energy systems.
  • Minimum of five years of professional electrical engineering experience, with a significant focus on renewable energy hardware and power systems.
  • Ability to join an active engineering team and contribute immediately, while learning and improving existing designs.

How to Apply
