Job Description
KingMakers is at the forefront of redefining sports and iGaming entertainment in Africa. We are seeking a dedicated Trade Marketing Specialist to join our Commercial team. In this role, you will be crucial in driving our brand presence and ensuring the effective execution of our marketing strategies at the retail level.
You will collaborate closely with our agency partners to enhance brand visibility across various touchpoints. Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute agency marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
- Drive agency branding initiatives, including shop signage and in-shop visibility materials.
- Plan and execute on-ground marketing activities such as shop activations and roadshows.
- Support community outreach initiatives to deepen grassroots engagement.
- Assist in planning and executing product go-to-market (GTM) launches for the agency channel.
- Translate GTM plans into field-ready execution in collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Coordinate agent-facing communications, training materials, and in-shop assets for new product launches.
- Ensure timely deployment of GTM materials to drive awareness and adoption at the shop level.
- Collect and share field feedback on product performance with Product and Marketing teams.
- Roll out national and regional trade marketing campaigns effectively with Regional Teams.
- Ensure timely distribution and proper use of marketing materials across agency locations.
- Monitor campaign execution quality in the field and provide feedback for improvement.
- Support new shop openings, relaunches, and special events with tailored marketing activations.
- Design trade marketing materials such as posters, flyers, and banners using tools like Canva.
- Adapt centrally developed marketing assets for local and regional execution.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and activations.
- Gather field insights and feedback from agents and partners to inform future campaigns.
- Maintain records of marketing materials, activations, and regional deployments.
- Collaborate with the central Marketing team for brand consistency and campaign alignment.
- Work closely with Operations and Regional Teams to ensure marketing initiatives support commercial objectives.
- Support ad-hoc marketing initiatives as required by agency leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in trade marketing or brand management, preferably with agency experience.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools and experience with survey and market research.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for successful promotional material.
- A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills to liaise effectively with agency teams and internal stakeholders.
- Passion for sports and the gaming industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in design tools for creating trade marketing and communication materials.
- Strong understanding of on-ground marketing and retail activation execution.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and GTM initiatives across regions.
- Basic reporting and data interpretation skills to assess campaign performance.
- Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with field teams and agents.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking combined with strong execution discipline.
- Willingness to travel as required to support regional activations and campaigns.
