Account Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, proven leadership in managing accounts, and the ability to drive efficiency in financial operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial management.

Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing daily accounting operations, including meticulous reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate payroll processing. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing crucial insights into the company's financial performance.

Ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards, tax laws, and internal policies is a key component of this role. You will also play a vital part in developing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive financial plans. Furthermore, you will mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate effectively across departments to support overarching organizational goals.

A significant aspect of this position involves identifying opportunities to streamline financial processes and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. This role requires a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with 7–10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.

Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards is essential, as is proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities are paramount, alongside demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Sabon Wuse, Niger State.
