Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Officer to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in driving business expansion by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets.
You will be instrumental in developing and executing business development plans, generating qualified leads through various channels, and managing a robust sales pipeline. The position requires a proactive professional adept at preparing compelling technical and commercial proposals and ensuring timely bid submissions.
Key to this role is the ability to maintain strong client relationships, identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities, and promptly resolve client concerns. You will also be responsible for monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, FMCG, Power, Construction, Telecommunications, and Government sectors
- Develop and implement annual and quarterly business development plans
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
- Generate qualified leads through networking, cold outreach, referrals, digital platforms, and industry events
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline using the company's CRM
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
- Convert enquiries into profitable contracts
- Lead negotiations until contract award
- Coordinate bid submissions and tender responses
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in collaboration with technical teams
- Develop capability statements and company presentations
- Ensure timely submission of bids and RFQs
- Conduct regular client visits
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities
- Resolve client concerns promptly
- Monitor competitors
- Identify new market opportunities
- Track government and private sector procurement opportunities
- Submit weekly sales reports, monthly pipeline reports, tender tracker, revenue forecast, and client engagement reports
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in B2B sales, preferably within HSE consulting, engineering services, industrial inspection, certification, environmental services, or energy management.
