Union Bank of Nigeria is seeking a passionate Application & Database Security Specialist to join our Information Security team. This on-site role at our Head Office in Lagos is crucial for strengthening application and database security across our enterprise environment.
As a key member of our team, you will drive secure coding practices, enforce DevSecOps standards, and oversee vulnerability management. You will partner with DevOps, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure full security alignment, playing a vital role in protecting our mission-critical systems and sensitive data.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance Application Security & Secure SDLC initiatives
- Oversee SAST/DAST, penetration testing & vulnerability management
- Strengthen database security (encryption, RBAC, monitoring)
- Partner with DevOps, IT, and Compliance teams to ensure full security alignment
Qualifications
- 5-10 years’ experience in Application/Database Security
- Strong knowledge of secure coding & security tools (e.g., Veracode, Burp, Fortify)
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CEH, etc.)
