Job Description

Tranos is seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in managing client interactions and project lifecycles.

In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating proposal preparation, interpreting customer inquiries into viable solutions, and serving as the primary point of contact for clients during the bidding process. You will also finalize contract specifications and maintain strong customer relationships to drive sales.

Your role will involve supporting the Engineering team in design and build phases, diligently following up on proposals, and ensuring all projects are managed effectively to meet deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interface and manage customer, contractor, and OEM interactions.
  • Control documentation and review GADs.
  • Monitor and track progress of sales orders and production.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation for bespoke products, aligning Sales and Engineering.
  • Interpret customer inquiries into cost-effective, feasible solutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers during inquiry and bidding.
  • Establish and finalize contract specifications with external groups.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to convert opportunities into orders.
  • Support the Engineering team in design and build phases.
  • Ensure thorough follow-up on proposals using CRM and sales programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering Discipline, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or relevant certification in Sales, Engineering, or Project Management is an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years of experience in bid or proposal management, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical sales environment.
  • Proven track record in coordinating complex proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in costing, budgeting, and financial management for project proposals and bids.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and adapt to various product requirements.
  • Proficiency in costing and financial aspects of proposal preparation.
  • Skillful in building rapport and negotiating with customers and contractors.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ensures accuracy in costing, quotations, and documentation.
  • Experience with CRM and sales software.
