Job Description

Tranos is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team in Lagos.

This role is crucial for managing customer interactions and coordinating bid and tender processes, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering and sales departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop winning strategies for bids and tenders in collaboration with the Engineering and Management teams.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation for bespoke products, aligning Sales and Engineering activities.
  • Interpret customer inquiries into cost-effective, feasible solutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers during the inquiry and bidding processes.
  • Develop accurate costings for quotes and support order conversion during negotiation calls.
  • Establish and finalize contract specifications with external groups.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and leverage these to convert opportunities into orders.
  • Collaborate on marketing materials, such as case studies and press releases.
  • Support the Engineering team in design and build phases as necessary.
  • Ensure thorough follow-up on proposals, using CRM and other sales programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline, Project Management, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or relevant certification in Sales, Engineering, or Project Management is an added advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in bid or proposal management, preferably within engineering, manufacturing, or a technical sales environment.
  • Proven track record in coordinating complex proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in costing, budgeting, and financial management as it relates to project proposals and bids.
