Job Description

Suacasa Nigeria Limited, a leading real estate development company, is seeking a competent and proactive Safety Officer to ensure a safe and healthy working environment across all its construction sites.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive site safety policies and procedures. Your expertise in conducting routine safety inspections and risk assessments will be crucial in identifying hazards and enforcing corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries.

You will lead safety inductions, drills, and toolbox talks to foster a strong safety culture among all site personnel. Investigating incidents thoroughly and preparing detailed reports will be essential for learning and continuous improvement. Maintaining accurate safety documentation and compliance records, ensuring full adherence to all regulatory requirements, is also a key responsibility.

B.Sc / HND in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related disciplines.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other recognized safety certification is required.
Professional membership with relevant safety bodies is an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in construction health and safety management.
Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations.
Risk assessment and hazard identification expertise.
Incident investigation and reporting skills.
Safety training and team engagement ability.
