Job Description
Mento is actively seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our remote-first team and play a pivotal role in scaling our sales function. This position is centered on driving lead generation and expanding our customer base.
You will be joining us at a critical juncture as we enhance our product-market fit and introduce new offerings. We operate in a highly autonomous, high-trust environment that provides substantial growth potential and opportunities for career advancement.
Your daily activities will involve a strategic approach to outbound sales, focusing on identifying target companies and thoughtfully utilizing our network for introductions. You will manage inbound leads, conduct targeted outreach via email and LinkedIn, research prospects, and execute outbound campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
- Book and qualify introductory calls with potential customers.
- Support event and conference strategies through targeted outbound efforts.
- Prospect and nurture inbound leads effectively.
- Leverage our community to generate valuable introductions and build pipeline.
- Identify and prospect into companies that align with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Conduct discovery calls and initial demos to qualify leads.
- Utilize tools like LinkedIn and our Mento community to find connections within target accounts and request introductions.
- Wear multiple hats and contribute to various aspects of the sales process in a small team environment.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as an SDR or BDR, preferably within a startup environment.
- Experience with modern sales technology stacks, including CRM and sales engagement platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions.
- A competitive spirit and a drive to consistently exceed targets.
- Comfort working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong work ethic balanced with a commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
