Job Description

Spesa Super Store is actively seeking an energetic and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team in Lagos.

In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting customers, driving in-store sales, ensuring attractive product displays, and maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for ensuring smooth sales operations, accurately recording transactions, and diligently working towards achieving daily sales targets. Your contribution is key to ensuring every customer enjoys a satisfying shopping experience and that store objectives are met.

Key responsibilities include welcoming and attending to customers, understanding their needs to recommend suitable products, and providing accurate information on prices and promotions. You will also ensure proper product display and monitor inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and attend to customers promptly and professionally.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Provide accurate information about products, prices, and promotions.
  • Ensure proper product display, labeling, and shelf arrangement.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages or fast-moving products.
  • Record and process sales transactions accurately.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Handle customer complaints or inquiries courteously and escalate when necessary.
  • Support daily store operations and maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Participate in periodic stock-taking and promotional activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND / NCE / HND / BSc is an added advantage.
  • 1–3 years of proven experience as a sales representative, preferably in a supermarket, retail, or FMCG environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of retail sales techniques and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
  • Smart appearance, honesty, and strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer literacy (POS operation knowledge is an added advantage).
