Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Community and Social Media Manager to join our innovative team at Misan by Bamboo. This role is pivotal in expanding our reach within the diaspora, driving user engagement, and fostering significant growth in new sign-ups and transactions.
You will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive community development and social media strategies. Collaborating closely with product and marketing teams, you will help refine our messaging, enhance our product offerings, and contribute directly to user and revenue growth. - Build and nurture strong relationships with diaspora communities, leaders, and influencers.
- Execute community-focused initiatives to foster a robust and engaged user base.
- Organize and participate in events to promote Misan by Bamboo and educate potential users.
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships to drive user growth.
- Develop, execute, and optimize a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with marketing goals.
- Ideate and create high-quality written and visual social media content.
- Oversee online community engagement, responding to followers and fostering a positive brand environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to amplify engagement and promotional campaigns.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in community building, social media management, and digital content creation.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing online communities.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies that drive engagement and business growth.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in using social media analytics tools (e.g., Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Positive, optimistic, and determined attitude.
- Ability to give and receive candid feedback and learn from setbacks.
- A 'can-do' attitude with a willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
- A continuous learning mindset.
- Willingness to travel and work some weekends.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
