Job Description
Sundry Foods Limited is seeking a diligent Unit Accountant to manage the financial operations at the unit level. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and the safeguarding of company assets.
As the Unit Accountant, you will represent the accounting and treasury functions, overseeing daily financial transactions and ensuring compliance with company policies. You will be responsible for maintaining precise financial data, managing cash flow, and supporting the unit's financial objectives.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting and treasury functions at the unit level.
- Safeguard the company's current assets, including cash, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow.
- Prepare unit-level financial reports and statements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a unit or branch setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
