Job Description

Onera Health is at the forefront of revolutionizing sleep medicine and remote patient monitoring. Our groundbreaking diagnostic solutions and services are designed to significantly improve the lives of millions suffering from sleep-related ailments, while also extending our impact to various other medical fields.

We provide physicians with comprehensive sleep test data through innovative solutions, optimizing patient care and reducing healthcare expenditures. Our FDA-cleared and CE-marked home polysomnography (hPSG) platform delivers lab-quality diagnostics directly in the patient's home, utilizing a fully integrated "PSG-as-a-Service" model. The United Kingdom represents a key market in our European expansion strategy.

In the UK, Onera Health collaborates with a clinical service provider partner rather than engaging in direct sales. This partner possesses established relationships within the NHS and a direct route to hospital executives. Our Clinical Sales Specialist will work in tandem with this partner, managing the day-to-day relationship and fostering demand from the ground up at the clinical and departmental levels, where credibility in sleep diagnostics is paramount.

This role is distinct from a traditional quota-driven sales position, as the final closing is managed through the partner's executive-level engagement. Your primary objective will be to generate clinical pull by earning the trust of sleep and respiratory teams, effectively demonstrating the platform, and empowering the partner's commercial efforts. Success hinges on clinical fluency and partner enablement, rather than personal deal-closing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the relationship with Onera’s UK clinical service provider partner, acting as the primary day-to-day contact and ensuring alignment between partner activities and Onera’s clinical priorities.
  • Enable and support the partner's teams, equipping their representatives to accurately position Onera and complementing their top-down approach with clinical depth.
  • Coordinate joint account planning with the partner, identifying target hospitals and sleep services, and strategizing on opportunity progression.
  • Build demand from the clinical level by gaining the confidence of sleep physicians, respiratory teams, neurophysiology units, and sleep laboratory staff.
  • Engage credibly at a peer level with consultants on sleep disorders and the broader diagnostic pathway.
  • Demonstrate and train clinical staff on the Onera platform independently, utilizing hands-on familiarity with polysomnography and understanding of AASM guidelines for manual sleep staging and event scoring.
  • Build visibility with UK sleep-medicine KOLs and engage with national bodies such as the British Sleep Society and ARTP.
  • Cover the United Kingdom as the sole field-based representative, prioritizing regions, qualifying opportunities rigorously, and concentrating efforts for maximum clinical adoption.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and pipeline visibility, self-managing a national field role and providing clear, current insights into clinical engagement and opportunities.
  • Act as the clinical and commercial point of contact in the field, addressing product-related questions and escalating issues to appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform product positioning and the UK partner strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, customer success, and clinical to align field activities with the overall commercial plan.

Qualifications

  • Clinical sleep background. Formal clinical background in sleep or respiratory diagnostics (e.g., registered sleep/respiratory physiologist, clinical scientist, RPSGT) with the ability to demonstrate and train clinical staff unaided. Exceptional candidates with deep, hands-on sleep/respiratory diagnostic exposure and genuine peer-level clinical credibility will also be considered.
  • Clinical credibility in the field. Ability to hold peer-level conversations with consultants and clinical teams and to build confidence and adoption at the departmental level.
  • Commercial or clinical-specialist experience. A track record in a clinical sales specialist, clinical application, or field clinical role in medical devices or diagnostics, or a clinical background combined with clear commercial instinct.
  • Self-managing field discipline. Comfort in self-managing a national field role with sound CRM and pipeline discipline.
  • National coverage & travel. Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, with the autonomy to prioritize across regions.
  • Fluent English and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with clinical stakeholders and partner teams.

Benefits & Perks

  • Remote / hybrid working model, with the technical equipment to set up your home office
  • A competitive compensation package
  • An open, collaborative company culture grounded in shared mission and team engagement
