Job Description

Side, a global leader in video game development and services, is seeking an innovative Microservices AI Developer to join its Artificial Intelligence team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technical and creative solutions for some of the world's largest developers and studios.

As an AI Microservices Developer, you will be instrumental in designing and building APIs that harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. Your work will focus on creating new products and automating complex business processes across the organization. You will manage your own projects, develop solutions primarily in Python, and collaborate closely with the DevOps team to deploy these as microservices within a robust cloud environment. This role is critical in supporting game services, products, and internal functions throughout Side's global operations.

Reporting to the Head of Artificial Intelligence, you will be part of a central AI and machine learning hub that drives cross-functional projects, from internal tools to user-facing product features. You will partner with diverse stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective API solutions and ensuring successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and architect Python-based API Microservices that integrate with LLMs and other generative models to support business needs.
Work on Python-based API Microservices to provide AI-enabled and LLM-powered solutions for various business requirements.
Stay updated with the latest LLM technologies, including OpenAI, Llama, and Gemini.
Become the company's expert in LLM and Generative AI API methods and Open Weights model deployment.
Act as a product manager to understand business needs for process automation tasks.
Translate business requirements into clear API specifications for microservices.
Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure Python-based APIs are deployed, live, and fully functional.
Assist in the seamless integration of API microservices with other software and tools across the organization.
Refine and optimize AI systems throughout the project lifecycle to ensure consistent performance and functionality across platforms.
Write and debug core AI code, ensuring the development of maintainable and scalable solutions.
Develop essential tools and utilities to support AI development and testing efforts.
Proactively identify and address challenges related to AI development, devising creative and effective solutions.
Maintain regular communication with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive development and alignment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing Python-based REST APIs.
Proven experience with OpenAI LLM APIs.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and the ability to design scalable architectures from inception.
Proficient knowledge of databases and experience programming APIs that interact with both NoSQL and SQL databases.
Hands-on experience coding with Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, FastAPI, or similar.
Basic understanding of Web Application Architecture.
Ability to effectively interact with business leaders across the organization to understand and manage requirements.
Desired: Experience with various LLM technology stacks and service/model options, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Open Weights models.
Desired: Experience with AI Image Generation pipelines.
