Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and engaging Part-Time Instructor to deliver dynamic online training sessions focused on Advanced Excel and SQL for Data Analysis.
In this role, you will guide adult learners through rigorous coursework, fostering a deep understanding of data manipulation, querying, and reporting techniques. Your expertise will be crucial in connecting theoretical concepts to practical, real-world business applications.
You will facilitate live virtual classes, provide hands-on support for assignments and projects, and mentor students to ensure their success and achievement of learning milestones. Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live online training sessions covering Excel and SQL concepts.
- Cover core topics including data handling, functions, Pivot Tables, data cleaning, dashboard creation, database fundamentals, writing queries, data filtering, subqueries, and query optimization.
- Conduct hands-on exercises and guide learners through project work.
- Provide hands-on support for assignments, labs, and activities.
- Mentor learners and resolve technical or conceptual queries.
- Evaluate assignments, assessments, or mock sessions when required.
- Ensure timely completion of curriculum and learning milestones.
- Maintain session quality metrics and learner engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams on curriculum updates, learner feedback, and delivery planning.
- Provide individualized student support during live sessions and scheduled office hours.
- Maintain regular communication with students regarding progress, expectations, and milestones.
- Respond to student and staff communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback on assignments and assessments.
- Evaluate student progress based on course deliverables and established grading rubrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and engagement.
- Identify and escalate academic or performance concerns to the Lead Instructor or appropriate staff.
- Support performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Adhere to institutional policies and instructional team standards.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and professional learning environment.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for students.
- Collaborate with instructional staff and program teams to improve the student learning experience.
- Represent the organization professionally when interacting with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Advanced Excel and SQL.
- Industry experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles.
- Prior experience delivering online or classroom training sessions preferred.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain analytical concepts clearly to learners with varied backgrounds.
