Job Description

Redox, a leading ASX-listed distributor of raw materials and ingredients, is seeking a dedicated IT Helpdesk Support Officer to join its expert team. With 23 staff locations across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and North America, Redox is an Australian success story established in 1965, boasting over 400 staff and sales exceeding $1 billion last financial year. This hybrid role, based at our head office in Minto, South-West Sydney, offers a blend of on-site and remote work after a probationary period. You will work alongside IT systems engineers and developers, providing crucial first and second-level support to internal customers across a diverse range of IT hardware and software systems. This includes desktops, laptops, printers, telephony, network and security devices, and various software platforms within a Windows Active Directory environment.

As you develop your skills and confidence, you will have the opportunity to lead projects involving hardware and software upgrades and rollouts, both locally and across remote sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and monitor support queues for the IT helpdesk.
  • Triage support requests, troubleshoot, and provide first/second level support.
  • Escalate faults to third level Systems Engineers and external support contractors.
  • Log, update, and close tickets in the IT helpdesk system (Zendesk).
  • Perform user adds/moves/changes in multiple IT systems.
  • Install, maintain, and monitor operating systems and software.
  • Assist with IT procurement and maintenance of internal asset system and licence records.
  • Write technical documentation and How-To Guides.
  • Take responsibility for projects involving hardware and software upgrades/rollouts locally and across remote sites as skills develop.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an IT Helpdesk role.
  • Tertiary qualification(s) in IT (University, TAFE, or Microsoft/Cisco certification).
  • Solid working knowledge of the latest Microsoft technologies and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • Ability to undergo a National Police History check.
