Job Description

Join CDC Data Centres, a leader in secure, world-class data center facilities, as an Associate Service Technician. This vital 24/7 role is crucial for maintaining the continuity and efficiency of our operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting customers, monitoring critical infrastructure using advanced electronic systems, and responding swiftly to customer requests and critical events. You will ensure all activities are performed safely and in accordance with CDC's stringent processes and procedures, providing timely reports and supporting the restoration of normal operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and engage with Customers, Service Technicians and contractors undertaking support activities and overseeing maintenance works.
  • Monitor critical infrastructure to ensure continuity of services and no disruption to client’s or business operations.
  • Utilise electronic monitoring systems to proactively oversee and monitor site conditions.
  • Respond to customer requests and critical events swiftly.
  • Ensure personnel are performing activities safely and in accordance with CDC’s processes and procedures.
  • Provide timely reporting of events, and support restoration to normal operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in technical environments such as telecommunications, fibre, fire systems, trades, IT, industrial facilities, or related fields.
  • Confidence collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams, subject matter experts, and external service providers.
  • The ability to identify risks and develop practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Office 365 applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
