Job Description

Join ABM UK as a Cleaning Operative at our Telehouse facility in London. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of £14.80 and a consistent work schedule, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.

In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include detailed cleaning of floors, surfaces, fixtures, and glass areas, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for clients and customers. You will also contribute to general site maintenance and landscape duties as needed.

We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team. A proactive attitude towards identifying and addressing health and safety concerns is essential. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver cleaning services to client facilities to a high standard.
  • Clean floors in building reception areas, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass doors/windows.
  • Clean all stainless-steel fixtures and barriers/glass door panels.
  • Dry mop black marble pillars inside and external.
  • Perform general cleaning and some landscape duties in external environments, roads, and car parks.
  • Act as a helpful point of contact for customers needing assistance.
  • Monitor and report health and safety issues to the management team.
  • Ensure cleaning/maintenance checks and site-specific compliances are adhered to.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming site for clients and customers.
  • Serve as an excellent ABM brand ambassador.

Qualifications

  • Data Centre Cleaning experience (preferable)
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills
  • Ability to use own initiative to identify and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Approachable and courteous manner
  • An understanding of the need for confidentiality and discretion in an active corporate building
  • Excellent attention to detail within cleaning/maintenance responsibilities
  • The ability to be flexible to meet the needs and demands of the role & the business
