Job Description
Park Avenue Property Management, LLC is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to join their team and support the Community Manager in overseeing an 85-site manufactured home community.
While residents are responsible for their own lots, this role is key to maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of vacant sites and common areas. You will be instrumental in ensuring the overall upkeep and smooth operation of the community, making it a pleasant place to live.
This is a hands-on position perfect for individuals who enjoy outdoor work, possess basic repair skills, and take pride in contributing to a well-maintained environment. Your efforts will directly enhance the community's curb appeal and resident satisfaction.
Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Community Manager with work orders, including light plumbing repairs, unclogging sewer lines (using a company-provided sewer snake), and other maintenance requests as needed
- Maintain curb appeal by mowing, trimming, and weed control on vacant pads and common areas (equipment and materials provided)
- Operate a backhoe (experience preferred, but willingness to learn is acceptable)
- Perform seasonal duties, including mowing during warmer months and snow plowing in the winter using company equipment
- Assist with general maintenance and occasional home refurbishments as needed
- Be available for occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance requests
- Maintain tools and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Plow roads in the winter with the company vehicle
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance and/or landscaping (references required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have own basic tools
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Applicants must be able to pass a background check. Because this role involves access to residential communities and interaction with residents, certain criminal convictions (including violent, sexual, theft-related, or recent felony offenses) may disqualify applicants. All background checks are reviewed individually and in accordance with applicable law.
Benefits & Perks
- 2 weeks of paid vacation
- Paid holidays
