Job Description

TotalEnergies is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join its Central Treasury team, focusing on Capital Markets and Money Market activities within an international, high-stakes financial environment.

In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and IT solutions, contributing to the strategic development of the Treasury's IT systems. You will be instrumental in shaping the future IT roadmap for the Treasury Management System (TMS) and identifying innovative technological opportunities that deliver tangible value to the business.

You will serve as the functional reference for the "Front To Book" domain within TGITS, leading opportunity studies to analyze business requirements and define IT projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring functional compliance of solutions, developing functional specifications, and coordinating functional testing and documentation.

Leveraging your expertise in business processes and your network within TGITS, you will empower Front-Office and Middle-Office teams to automate their operations using cutting-edge technologies like RPA and AI. You will also collaborate closely with the Delivery Lead to support complex evolution or correction requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Business Analyst for the "Front To Book" domain, liaising with Middle Office and Front-Office (Traders) of the Treasury.
  • Assist the business in projecting and modeling their needs while ensuring the coherence of the application IT system.
  • Contribute to the medium-long term development of the Treasury IT system by developing or updating the evolution roadmap of the Treasury Management System (TMS).
  • Identify new market opportunities and technological innovations through active monitoring to propose value-adding solutions to the business.
  • Serve as the functional reference within TGITS for the Front To Book domain, piloting opportunity studies to analyze business needs and identify IT projects.
  • Ensure the functional conformity of solutions to business needs within IT projects, developing functional specifications and organizing functional tests and documentation.
  • Contribute to the functional coverage of TMS evolution projects, integrating required evolutions for the FO/MO Business line.
  • Help Front-Office and Middle-Office Treasury departments automate their business processes by leveraging new technologies (RPA, AI, new digital solutions).
  • Contribute as a functional expert to help TMA understand and process complex evolution or correction requests.
  • Coordinate a broad transverse team including Business users (key users in central and subsidiaries, application owners) and IT professionals (Business Analysts from other domains, Delivery Lead, Delivery Service Lead, TMA, transverse functions of the SF division, etc.).

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of financial instruments (foreign exchange and interest rate products).
  • Experience with a TMS (e.g., FIS Quantum) or a market finance software (Murex, Calypso, Orchestrade…) is essential.
  • Knowledge of market data.
  • General knowledge of Front-to-Back processes.
  • General knowledge of Corporate Treasury.
  • General knowledge in Market Risks (PnL, VaR, Stress tests).
  • Knowledge of current regulations (SOX / EMIR in particular).
  • Experience in Finance (Treasury / Investment Banking / Capital and Money Markets).
  • Fluent English.
