Job Description
Nelson Education Ltd., a leading Canadian K-12 publisher, is seeking a dedicated Assessment Coordinator to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's mission to make learning accessible and effective for all students.
You will be responsible for executing scoring services for classroom assessments with a high degree of accuracy. This includes scanning, editing, scoring, and reporting on answer documents, ensuring all deadlines are met. The position also involves providing live support for online administrations and acting as a frontline source of information for customers regarding intervention resources.
Additionally, this role contributes to sales development by updating clinical account information in Salesforce. This is a temporary, 6-month contract position based in Newmarket, Ontario, offering a hybrid work model. We are looking for an independent, professional, and detail-oriented individual to fill this full-time opportunity.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scanning, editing, scoring, and reporting of answer documents with high accuracy.
- Coordinate packing and destruction or returns of assessment materials.
- Meet or exceed goals for scoring service turnaround times.
- Provide live support for online administration during scheduled testing windows.
- Prepare and load rosters for CCAT 7, CTBS-R.
- Communicate technical issues with the Riverside team during testing windows.
- Provide Tier 1 technical support for online CCAT/CogAT administration.
- Perform quality-control checks on all reprinted scannable answer sheets.
- Perform routine calibration of optical scanners and arrange for service calls/maintenance.
- Act as the front-line source of general information for Customer Support, Sales Account Managers, and external customers regarding intervention resources.
- Update Salesforce with current contact information for Clinical accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
- Ability to work independently.
- Deadline-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Comfort with computer systems and quick to learn.
- Strong customer service skills and high regard for customer satisfaction.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-organized, with excellent attention to accuracy and details.
- Comfortable and adaptable to work peak times and volumes (cyclical).
- Independent problem-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft applications is considered an asset.
