Job Description

Arythium Technologies is seeking an experienced ERP Support Engineer to manage and maintain the company's SAP ERP environment. This role is vital for ensuring the availability, correct configuration, and alignment of SAP modules with business operations.

You will be responsible for providing first and second-level support for all deployed SAP modules, diagnosing and resolving application errors, performance issues, and integration problems. Key duties include managing SAP user administration, role assignments, and authorization objects in line with security policies.

The role also involves SAP Basis administration tasks such as system health checks, performance monitoring, background job scheduling, and transport management. You will apply SAP patches, support packages, and kernel upgrades, and manage the SAP landscape configuration across different environments.

Furthermore, you will engage with business teams to understand requirements, support data integrity activities, and assist with SAP-related reporting. Implementing and enforcing SAP security best practices, supporting audit activities, and ensuring compliance with data protection policies are also critical responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first- and second-level support for all SAP modules deployed.
  • Diagnose and resolve SAP application errors, performance issues, transport failures, and integration problems.
  • Manage SAP user administration including role assignments, authorization objects, and profile management.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for all SAP-related issues.
  • Perform SAP system health checks, performance monitoring, background job scheduling, and transport management.
  • Apply SAP patches, support packages, and kernel upgrades.
  • Manage the SAP landscape configuration across development, quality assurance, and production environments.
  • Coordinate with SAP or third-party vendors on issue escalation, OSS notes, and solution implementation.
  • Engage with internal business teams to understand operational requirements and translate them into system configurations.
  • Support data integrity activities including master data management and system reconciliation.
  • Assist with any SAP-related reporting requirements and custom output configurations.
  • Implement and enforce SAP security best practices including segregation of duties, privileged access controls, and audit log management.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Ensure SAP system configurations comply with data protection and IT governance policies.
  • Coordinate with the System Administrator to ensure SAP-specific data is covered within the backup regime.
  • Participate in monthly restore verification exercises to validate SAP data recoverability.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical documentation covering SAP system configurations, transport logs, authorization matrices, and incident post-mortems.
  • Contribute to monthly SLA reports with SAP-specific metrics.
  • Conduct periodic user awareness sessions for staff on SAP usage protocols and change request procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three to five years of hands-on SAP support or administration experience in a live production environment.
  • Valid SAP Certification is mandatory (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate, SAP Certified Application Associate in FI, MM, SD, or HCM, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Basis administration, transport management, and user authorization management.
  • Experience working with SAP S/4HANA is a strong advantage.
  • Understanding of ITIL-aligned service management practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
