Job Description

Dili Bakery is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Head Baker to lead its daily bakery operations.

This role is responsible for ensuring the consistent production of high-quality bread, cakes, and premium pastries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various baking techniques and a commitment to maintaining exceptional standards.

Key responsibilities include managing the baking team, developing and improving recipes, and overseeing all aspects of production to meet daily targets.

Required Skills

Minimum of 2 years experience as a Baker or Head BakerStrong knowledge of bread production (white bread, wheat bread, sourdough, burger buns, dinner rolls)Experience in cake baking and decoration (butter cakes, sponge cakes, birthday and celebration cakes)Expertise in premium pastries (croissants, danish pastries, puff pastry, meat pies, sausage rolls, donuts, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and éclairs)Good understanding of oven operations and baking techniquesAbility to work under pressure and meet daily production targetsCreative, disciplined, and quality-focusedStrong leadership and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily baking operations
  • Prepare and oversee production of bread, cakes, and premium pastries
  • Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all baked products
  • Develop and improve recipes where necessary
  • Train and supervise baking staff
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and food quality standards
  • Manage raw materials and minimize waste

Qualifications
