Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Risk Management & Compliance to lead our organization's risk control, regulatory compliance, and governance framework. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring complete adherence to Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations, effectively managing operational and financial risks, and strengthening internal controls across all facets of our Bureau de Change (BDC) and Foreign Exchange (FX) operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure full compliance with CBN regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and internal policies.
  • Monitor FX transactions for regulatory adherence and risk exposure.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks.
  • Lead regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections.
  • Serve as liaison with regulators, auditors, and compliance consultants.
  • Review and update internal policies, SOPs, and compliance manuals.
  • Train staff on compliance, ethics, and risk awareness.
  • Prepare risk and compliance reports for management and the Board.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in Risk Management and Compliance within a Bureau de Change (BDC) or FX environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CBN BDC guidelines, AML/CFT regulations, and risk frameworks.
  • B.Sc. or HND in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Law, or related disciplines.
  • Professional certifications in Risk or Compliance (e.g., CAMS, CRCMP) are an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage regulatory pressure.
