Job Description

Acclaro is seeking native Malayalam speakers with excellent English comprehension to join their global linguistic community as Freelance Linguistic Testers. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge IT and AI projects, with full training provided. If you own a modern Mac with an M-series chip, this role is for you.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing linguistic quality assurance on Malayalam content, ensuring it is natural and culturally accurate. You will also conduct software and user interface testing, identifying any layout issues or functional bugs within the Malayalam interface. Clear and concise reporting of linguistic and technical errors in English, following provided guidelines, will be a key part of your duties.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Linguistic QA: Review and refine AI-generated and localized Malayalam content to ensure natural flow and cultural accuracy.
Software & UI Testing: Navigate applications to identify layout issues, truncated text, and functional bugs in the Malayalam interface.
Bug Reporting: Document and report linguistic and technical errors clearly in English using our testing guidelines.

Qualifications

Native-level fluency in written and spoken Malayalam, paired with professional-level English comprehension and written communication skills.
Must own a Mac computer equipped with an Apple Silicon M-series chip (M1, M2, M3, M4, or newer).
Strong understanding of modern Kerala cultural nuances, localized language trends, and regional idiomatic expressions.
Comfort navigating new software interfaces, adhering to detailed testing guidelines, and reporting technical/linguistic bugs clearly in English.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace suitable for remote, independent contract work.
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to consistently identify minor grammatical, formatting, and user-interface (UI) errors.
No prior experience in linguistic testing or translation is required; willingness to complete mandatory onboarding training.
