Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Officer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential technical assistance to our staff, resolving issues related to computer hardware and software through various communication channels. Your duties will include performing installations, configurations, and updates, as well as diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.

You will also manage user accounts, educate staff on system usage, and execute maintenance upgrades. A key aspect of this position involves meticulous record-keeping of all IT assets, mapping them to unique identifiers and staff members. Planning, installation, and maintenance of IT systems and company infrastructure are also core responsibilities, ensuring all departments have the necessary tools for their daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software.
  • Resolve issues for staff via phone, in person, or electronically.
  • Perform hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
  • Execute maintenance upgrades.
  • Perform user administration tasks, including setting up accounts and educating staff.
  • Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources.
  • Ensure adequate documentation of each support issue and resolution.
  • Record keeping of all assets, mapping them to unique identifiers, staff in possession, and asset state.
  • Plan, install, maintain, and upgrade IT systems and company infrastructure.
  • Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and provision of necessary tools for each department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of B.Sc. / HND Qualification.
  • 0 - 2 years’ experience in an IT support role.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in a Contact Center/BPO will be an added advantage.
  • Must possess problem-solving skills.
  • Should be teachable and a fast learner.
