Slum2School Africa is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Digital Marketing Manager to significantly enhance our online presence and amplify our mission. This pivotal role involves developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, foster deeper engagement with our community, and drive crucial support for our educational initiatives.
You will be responsible for crafting compelling content, managing our social media platforms, optimizing our website for search engines, and analyzing campaign performance to ensure maximum impact. Your expertise will be key in connecting with donors, partners, and advocates, ultimately helping us provide more educational opportunities to marginalized children.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, donations, and recruitment efforts.
- Plan, launch, and manage all digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify and target key audiences across multiple channels, focusing on donor engagement and volunteer recruitment.
- Stay updated on emerging digital marketing trends and recommend new platforms and technologies.
- Conduct competitive analysis in the sector.
- Lead content strategy development across digital platforms, including social media, email, blogs, and the website.
- Create compelling content, including social media posts, email copy, and blog articles.
- Develop multimedia content (videos, infographics, photos) to tell impactful stories.
- Implement SEO best practices for all digital content.
- Oversee and grow Slum2School’s presence on social media platforms.
- Actively engage with online communities and manage direct messages.
- Design and execute social media campaigns for key initiatives and fundraising drives.
- Analyze social media performance and adjust strategies for effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and partners.
- Write and distribute press releases and media kits.
- Use analytics tools to track campaign performance and measure KPIs.
- Analyze performance data and create detailed reports for leadership.
- Conduct periodic content audits and optimize digital resources.
- Continuously test and optimize content, campaigns, and strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and content marketing.
- Excellent content creation and copywriting skills.
- Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for social change and the mission of Slum2School Africa.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus.
