Job Description

Dangote Cement Plc is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Manager to oversee all mechanical maintenance operations within its Power Plant at the Obajana facility. This pivotal role ensures that all mechanical systems function optimally and safely, adhering to stringent industry standards and company guidelines. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency through effective maintenance strategies, from generating work orders to resolving complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Generate and manage work orders for mechanical issues.
Prioritize and assign mechanical tasks to maintenance staff.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with established procedures and standards.
Lead and direct staff in resolving complex mechanical problems.
Uphold personnel safety, health, and good housekeeping practices.
Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Perform other assigned duties by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience in gas-based power plant operations.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical maintenance for Gas Turbines, Air Compressors, NG Compressors, Cooling Towers, various pumps and valves, Firefighting Systems, R.O. Plants, and Water Treatment Plants.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
