Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Associate to join our dynamic team at Shuttlers. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. You will oversee financial reporting, tax management, payment processing, and cash flow management, playing a critical role in optimizing our financial performance.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Review the work of the Finance Associate to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support management decisions.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain strong internal control systems and recommend improvements.
- Review and approve vendor payment schedules.
- Oversee reconciliation of payable and receivable accounts.
- Liaise with vendors and clients to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory tax obligations.
- Prepare and file monthly and annual tax returns promptly.
- Provide advisory support on tax planning, deductions, and compliance requirements.
- Plan, process, and oversee vendor and operational payments.
- Fund operational and partner wallets, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Review and approve bank and cash reconciliations monthly.
- Monitor daily bank and cash positions and advise management on liquidity needs.
- Supervise and prepare expense tracker and variance analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Advise management on financial decisions, process improvements, and cost optimization.
- Supervise, guide, and review the work of the Finance Associate.
- Provide mentorship and technical support to junior finance team members.
- Promote adherence to Shuttlers’ finance policies, ethical standards, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A relevant professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a significant advantage.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in Finance.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and strong internal control systems.
- Expertise in statutory tax obligations (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT).
- Proven ability for analytical thinking and sound judgment.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and review skills.
