Job Description
The Tony Elumelu Foundation is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Partnerships Officer to join our dedicated team in Lagos. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in fostering and managing vital partnerships that drive the Foundation's mission to empower African entrepreneurs. You will be responsible for nurturing relationships, negotiating agreements, and ensuring the successful execution of collaborative initiatives. Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing and potential partners.
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms for the Foundation.
- Draft compelling proposals, concept notes, and impact reports for partners and donors.
- Conduct quarterly donor mapping and provide regular impact updates.
- Oversee donor accounts, track timesheets, and ensure timely reporting.
- Maintain and meticulously categorize the partnerships database.
- Ensure the timely completion of all partner deliverables.
- Organize and facilitate quarterly policy and entrepreneurship roundtables.
- Drive impactful campaigns to support entrepreneurship across designated regions.
- Implement strategies to influence policy changes that benefit entrepreneurship support.
- Form strategic partnerships for research on entrepreneurship barriers and enablers.
- Develop a comprehensive framework for academic research on Africapitalism.
- Engage with diverse channels to build and expand the Africapitalism network.
Qualifications
- A first-degree qualification is required.
- A Master's degree will be considered a significant advantage.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
- Experience across Technology and Innovation, the corporate sector, varied African markets, and NGOs is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in initiating, securing, and managing partnerships with international organizations.
- A proven track record of successful partnership outcomes.
