Job Description
Dangote Cement is seeking a skilled Sourcing and Purchasing Officer to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company procures essential materials and supplies at the best possible price and quality.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, acting as the company's representative during contract negotiations. A key aspect of this position involves meticulously tracking and confirming the delivery of all procured items, ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain.

Required Skills
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Control and negotiate contractual terms and prices.
- Manage the supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity, and reliability.
- Identify and search for new suppliers.
- Conduct market and price analysis.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Produce reports on own activities.
- Purchase from different categories.
- Manage the creation of orders.
- Coordinate and ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the head of the purchasing department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in economics or a degree in purchasing, supply chain, or international trade.
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the cement industry.
- Negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team with a diverse workforce.
- In-depth knowledge of the procurement process.
- Good professional skills in KPIs, INCOTERMS, and TCO.
