About the Company
Lafiya is a rapidly growing non-profit organization dedicated to making contraception accessible to all, regardless of location. Operating in hard-to-reach communities across four states in northern Nigeria, Lafiya empowers women through a network of dedicated female health professionals, known as Lafiya Sisters. Their innovative, community-based approach ensures access to vital information and contraceptive products, having already supported over 200,000 women.
The organization is currently transitioning from a start-up phase to a national scale, focusing on impact, cost-effectiveness, and enhancing the dignity and agency of the communities they serve. Lafiya is also actively developing its own supply chain to address national shortages and is collaborating with government stakeholders to establish sustainable financing models for contraception procurement. Their work is characterized by a commitment to rigorous evidence generation and a fast-paced, agile operational environment.
Job Description
Lafiya is seeking a highly skilled and technically driven Senior Research & Impact Analyst to join our Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) department. This role is crucial as Lafiya scales its operations to become a national organization, requiring rigorous evidence generation to influence policy and secure government adoption.
You will be responsible for the technical architecture of our most complex evaluations, designing robust experiments, managing sophisticated data pipelines, and ensuring our evidence meets the highest international standards for donors and academic publications. This is an ideal position for a "thinker-doer" who enjoys deep analytical work and possesses the entrepreneurial drive to manage research processes from inception to completion.
Key responsibilities include designing rigorous evaluation methodologies, leading end-to-end research execution, performing advanced statistical analysis (including DiD models and longitudinal tracking), contributing to automated data workflows, representing Lafiya with federal stakeholders, and producing publication-ready evidence. You will translate complex findings into clear, defensible insights to shape national health policy and program strategy.
