Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our innovative team at Blockworks. This role is pivotal in driving new business acquisition and fostering strong client relationships within the rapidly evolving crypto industry.

You will own the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and outreach to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals. Your responsibilities will include proactively building your pipeline, identifying high-potential accounts, and selling our comprehensive suite of offerings, including data, media, and events.

Success in this role requires developing custom solutions tailored to client needs, building authentic, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders, and staying abreast of industry trends to inform your sales strategy. You will represent Blockworks at industry events and operate with a high degree of discipline, leveraging CRM for accurate forecasting and pipeline management.

We are looking for a self-directed sales professional with sharp instincts and a deep curiosity for emerging technology and the crypto ecosystem. You should be comfortable with experimentation and thrive in a collaborative team environment where collective success is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a full sales cycle across a defined list of accounts, from prospecting and outreach to pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Proactively build pipeline and source your own opportunities.
  • Develop a strong sense of which accounts are worth your time.
  • Sell across Blockworks’ full suite of offerings, including data, media, and events.
  • Develop proposals that span Blockworks' data, media, and events products, understanding partner objectives to create impactful solutions.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with heads of growth, marketing leads, CMOs, and founders at crypto companies and institutions.
  • Track industry developments in crypto to inform sales conversations and identify opportunities.
  • Build an understanding of how Blockworks’ data product supports research, market intelligence, and decision-making.
  • Attend key industry events to accelerate relationships and create pipeline.
  • Log all activities in the CRM, forecast accurately, and manage pipeline with rigor.
  • Collaborate with the team, share learnings, and contribute to a collective success culture.

Qualifications

  • At least three years in a closing sales role, ideally in crypto, SaaS, or emerging tech.
  • Consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling six-figure deals.
  • Ability to manage a pipeline and articulate how deals were closed, including stakeholders and objections.
  • Proficiency in managing a deal from first touch to final signature.
  • Experience building relationships with senior decision-makers and earning their trust.
  • Experience selling data or technology products alongside media, event sponsorships, or content partnerships is a plus.
  • Direct exposure to DeFi, crypto exchanges, or institutional digital asset teams is a plus.
  • Experience using AI tools in day-to-day workflow for research, outreach, and speed is a plus.
