Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and disciplined Trading Operator to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for an individual with deep expertise in Interactive Brokers (TWS), capable of executing trading strategies with precision and speed.

As a Trading Operator, you will be at the forefront of our trading desk operations. Your primary focus will be on executing orders, monitoring global markets in real-time, and managing the complete trade lifecycle. This is a hands-on position where you will directly contribute to our trading success.

Key responsibilities include logging into Interactive Brokers (TWS) daily to execute orders across various asset classes, monitoring market conditions, and ensuring timely entries and exits. You will also be responsible for reconciling trades, positions, and P&L, generating daily reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute orders across equities, ETFs, futures, and FX according to predefined strategies and risk limits using Interactive Brokers (TWS).
  • Monitor global markets, prices, liquidity, and slippage in real-time, escalating issues as needed.
  • Manage the full trade lifecycle, including order entry, monitoring, fills, allocations, amendments, cancellations, and end-of-day checks.
  • Reconcile trades, positions, cash, and P&L between IBKR and internal records, resolving discrepancies.
  • Generate and maintain daily reports on trades, exposures, performance, and operational incidents.
  • Monitor basic automated/algorithmic orders in IBKR and flag anomalies.
  • Ensure all activity complies with internal risk policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Provide basic market color and execution feedback to portfolio managers.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a trading, execution, or dealing role (buy-side, prop trading, brokerage, or multi-asset CFD/FX broker).
  • Direct, hands-on experience using Interactive Brokers (TWS and Client Portal) for live trading.
  • Strong understanding of order types (market, limit, stop, bracket, OCO), margin, corporate actions, and basic risk concepts.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one asset class (equities or ETFs), with familiarity with futures and FX.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure.
  • Comfortable working evening or split shifts when required.
  • Proficient with Excel; experience with basic VBA/Python/reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
