Job Description

The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is actively seeking a dynamic and data-driven TikTok Specialist to bolster the strategic performance, reach, and engagement of our project's TikTok presence. This pivotal role involves providing expert guidance on the latest TikTok platform developments, algorithm changes, and content optimization techniques to achieve our critical objectives.

As an independent organization, CIR is dedicated to uncovering human rights violations and threats to democracy. We achieve this through rigorous open-source research, in-depth digital investigations, and robust capacity-building initiatives with local partners. Our collaborations with media amplify our impact, ensuring our findings reach a broad audience.

This is a contract position for one year, requiring 4-5 days of work per month. Daily working hours are flexible and can be arranged to suit the successful candidate. The role is fully remote, and proficiency in both English and French is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret changes to the TikTok algorithm and platform features.
  • Advise on content and editorial approaches based on platform trends and algorithm developments.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated professional experience managing or advising high-performing TikTok accounts.
  • Strong expertise in TikTok algorithms, audience growth strategies, and platform optimization.
  • Proven ability to interpret analytics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using TikTok Analytics and relevant third-party monitoring and reporting tools.
  • Experience conducting social media benchmarking and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clear, practical, and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Fluency in English and French (essential).
  • Familiarity with analyzing and advising on TikTok strategies in emerging markets (desirable).
  • Experience working with NGOs, media organizations, advocacy campaigns, or public-interest communications (desirable).
  • Familiarity with influencer engagement and creator trends (desirable).
  • Experience working in multicultural and international contexts (desirable).
