Job Description

Centorrino Technologies (CT) is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join their team in Hobart on a 6-month contract. This role is crucial for supporting strategic technology initiatives across enterprise applications, infrastructure, and information management environments.

You will be responsible for understanding and documenting business needs, analyzing processes, and translating them into practical solutions that align with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis activities across enterprise application, infrastructure, and information management projects.
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analyze and model current and future state business processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, governance, and service delivery.
  • Assess impacts across enterprise systems, infrastructure platforms, and information management environments, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain requirements traceability, ensuring clear alignment between business needs, solution design, testing, and implementation outcomes.
  • Support solution evaluation, business case development, and decision-making through evidence-based analysis and recommendations.
  • Contribute to procurement activities, vendor assessments, and solution selection processes.
  • Support testing activities, including requirements validation, test planning, user acceptance testing, and defect management.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business and technology teams, facilitating collaboration and managing competing priorities.
  • Produce high-quality analysis artifacts including business requirements, process maps, user stories, use cases, business rules, and traceability matrices.
  • Ensure analysis deliverables are accurate, consistent, and aligned with governance, compliance, and project standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within complex IT or enterprise environments, with a minimum of 5 years' experience delivering technology-focused projects.
  • Strong business analysis capability across enterprise applications, infrastructure, and knowledge/information management initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working with platforms such as SharePoint, OpenText, SAP, Microsoft 365, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Expertise in requirements elicitation, process modeling, stakeholder facilitation, and business process improvement.
  • Experience analyzing system impacts, dependencies, integrations, and organizational change implications.
  • Strong understanding of information management, governance, records management, and content management principles.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, vendor evaluations, and solution assessments.
  • Practical experience supporting testing and quality assurance activities throughout project delivery.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience working within project delivery frameworks and collaborating effectively with project managers, architects, technical specialists, and business stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
  • Business Analysis certifications (e.g. CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, Agile BA) will be viewed favourably.
  • A valid Vulnerable People / Working with Children Check (WWCC) and Police Check are required.
