Job Description

Red Energy is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their Technology and Development team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of business processes.

You will be responsible for gathering business requirements, writing functional specifications, and consulting with various business units to drive development and system enhancements. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter, capable of managing pressure and making sound decisions that align with commercial objectives, all while ensuring an outstanding stakeholder experience.

This position is based in the iconic Bryant & May Building in Cremorne, Melbourne, offering a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. You will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where adaptability and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Preference for experience in the retail energy sector.
  • Proven ability to deliver major business solutions, including application testing and implementation.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills and proven resilience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement in process design.
  • Experience in delivering business solutions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for independent data collection and analysis.
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools, including Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Atlassian products (Confluence, JIRA).
