Job Description

Verto is seeking a dynamic Country Manager to spearhead its operations in Nigeria. This pivotal role involves architecting the company's strategic vision within the geography and translating global objectives into local market dominance.

As the Country Manager, you will be instrumental in owning the Profit and Loss (P&L), cultivating high-impact partnerships, and establishing the necessary regulatory foundation for scalable growth. You will serve as a vital link, empowering Nigerian businesses with the cross-border financial products they need to thrive on a global stage.

Your responsibilities will include developing and executing the definitive business plan for Nigeria, driving commercial growth, and managing revenue and margins. You will also lead relationships with key regulatory bodies like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), ensuring compliance is a competitive advantage. Building and cementing deep partnerships with banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions will be crucial for scalable growth.

  • Proven track record of scaling businesses in regulated markets with strong P&L and financial management skills.
  • Deep, intuitive understanding of the Nigerian payments, FX, and regulatory landscape.
  • A 'finisher' mentality with a proven ability to push projects through to implementation.
  • Discipline to translate high-level vision into daily operational reality.
  • Cultural fluency and the ability to navigate senior stakeholder management with executive presence and grace.
  • Executive leadership presence and strategic thought leadership.
