Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to spearhead a dynamic product team. In this pivotal role, you will guide a group of 3-5 backend and frontend engineers, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance.
Your responsibilities will encompass managing team dynamics, actively contributing to product development, and championing the growth and career development of each team member. You will also play a key role in the hiring and onboarding processes for your team, ensuring a smooth integration of new talent.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers (backend and frontend).
- Spend 30% of time on management work, actively participating in product development for the remainder.
- Be involved in hiring processes for your team and potentially assist peers.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new engineers.
- Manage team dynamics and foster a positive, productive environment.
- Provide continuous and constructive feedback.
- Facilitate team growth and individual career development.
- Offer guidance and coaching to team members.
Qualifications
- Managed an engineering team of at least 2 people.
- Extensive experience with Backend (Elixir/Phoenix).
- Commitment to promoting Remote's values.
- Solid communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of engineering and development principles and best practices.
- Proven organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Focus on efficient processes with a kind, people-first approach.
- Ability to inspire others and instill confidence.
- Good understanding of team dynamics.
